Take it regularly and at a fixed time to get maximum benefits from it.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Alphadol 0.25mcg Capsule should be taken with or after food.

If you miss a dose of Alphadol 0.25mcg Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Alphadol 0.25mcg Capsule is a Vitamin D-hormone analog that gets activated in the body with the help of liver enzymes. It gets converted into the active form of vitamin D3 (calcitriol) that helps in strengthening the bones and also regulates the other functioning of the body.
-Carbamazepine (Oral Route): Moderate
Your doctor may monitor your treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations. Carbamazepine may reduce efficacy of Alfacalcidol.
| -Phenobarbitone (Oral Route): Moderate
Your doctor may monitor your treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations. Phenobarbitone may reduce efficacy of Alfacalcidol.
| -Orlistat (Oral Route): Moderate
Ensure a gap of at least 2 hours between taking Alfacalcidol and Orlistat. It is recommended to take Alfacalcidol at bedtime. Orlistat may decrease the absorption of Alfacalcidol.
| -Digoxin (Oral Route): Moderate
Watch out for symptoms of Digoxin side effects such as impaired vision, skin rash, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or dizziness and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may monitor and adjust the doses as per the observations. Concurrent use may increase the risk of Digoxin poisoning.
