In Treatment of Hypertension (high blood pressure) 2.5 Tablet blocks the effects of some chemicals on your heart and blood vessels. It slows down your heart rate and helps the heart to beat with less force. This lowers your blood pressure and helps in reducing your risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, other heart problems, or kidney problems in the future. This medicine needs to be taken regularly to be effective, so keep taking it even if you feel well. Do not stop without talking to your doctor.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. 2.5 Tablet may be taken with or without food.

Do not drink alcohol while you are taking this medicine. 2.5 Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness when taken with alcohol. | - Pregnancy : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

2.5 Tablet is not recommended during pregnancy as there is positive evidence of fetal risk based on animal studies. If you miss a dose of 2.5 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Is 2.5 Tablet a diuretic?::: No, 2.5 Tablet is not a diuretic. 2.5 Tablet is a beta-blocker medicine which works by blocking the hyperactivity of the nerve impulses in the heart. This relaxes the heart muscles and eventually calms the heart.| Is 2.5 Tablet effective?::: 2.5 Tablet is effective if used in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Do not stop taking it even if you see improvement in your condition.
