These infections may include tooth abscess, gum infection, pneumonia, diarrhea, dysentery, burning sensation while passing urine, and genital tract infection. 2D M Oral Suspension inhibits the growth of infection-causing organisms by stopping them from multiplying. It is most likely that your child?s infection will start showing improvement within 3 to 5 days of the regular dosing. Make sure to complete the full course of treatment even if your child feels better. Stopping the medicine abruptly by yourself may worsen your child?s condition or cause infection recurrence.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. 2D M Oral Suspension may be taken with or without food.

If you think you have given too much 2D M Oral Suspension to your child, immediately speak to a doctor. Overdose increases the risk of unwanted side effects such as seizures, tremors, severe headache, sudden weakness, blood cell abnormalities, and rapid and irregular heartbeat. Rush to your child?s doctor on an immediate basis if you notice any of these symptoms.| What should I do if my child shows no improvement even after taking 2D M Oral Suspension for the prescribed duration?::: Ineffective treatment with 2D M Oral Suspension could mean that the medicine is not able to act against the infection-causing bacteria. In such a case, visit your child?s doctor who may prescribe some other antibiotic, having more specific action toward the infection-causing bacteria.| Can other medicines be given at the same time as 2D M Oral Suspension?::: 2D M Oral Suspension can sometimes interact with other medicines or substances. Also, check with your child?s doctor before giving any medicine to your child.| Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with 2D M Oral Suspension?::: Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they recover from the illness. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be given.| What should I tell the doctor before giving 2D M Oral Suspension to my child?::: Inform the doctor if your child is suffering from heart disease, genetic disorders involving blood vessels, seizures, psychiatric disorders, diabetes, photoallergy (allergy from sunlight), neuromuscular disorders, or rheumatoid arthritis. This is because there is a possibility that 2D M Oral Suspension may aggravate these conditions and result in complications.| My child has been passing red-brown urine ever since he started taking 2D M Oral Suspension. Is it normal?::: Yes, it is normal. 2D M Oral Suspension contains an active ingredient called metronidazole which can cause red-brown urine. It is a harmless side effect. It will subside once the medicine is stopped after the completion of the treatment.| My child is having a common cold. Is it safe to give 2D M Oral Suspension along with cough & cold medicines?::: No, do not give 2D M Oral Suspension with cough and cold medicines as it can interfere with their working.

Both these medicines damage the DNA of the infection-causing bacteria, thus killing it by stopping its growth.
