It may also be used before surgery, and during and after a cesarean section, in order to prevent the patient from getting an infection. It stops the growth of bacteria causing infection. This further reduces the discomforts associated with various infections and helps in early recovery.

3A Sul 1000mg/500mg Injection is a combination of two medicines: Cefotaxime and Sulbactam. Cefotaxime is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefotaxime against bacteria.
