-Selegiline (Oral Route): Life-threatening
Do not consume Selegiline with Pentazocine. If essential, watch out for symptoms such as fever, tremors, diarrhea or agitation. Please consult your doctor. Concomitant use may cause an increase in blood serotonin levels. Patients may experience agitation, increased body temperature, fast heartbeat, muscle rigidity, and loss of coordination.
| -Naltrexone (Oral Route): Life-threatening
Do not consume Naltrexone with Pentazocine; watch out for symptoms such as breathlessness, increased heart rate, or headache. Naltrexone may reduce efficacy of Pentazocine.
| -Ziprasidone (Oral Route): Severe
Watch out for symptoms such as tremors, fever, diarrhea or agitation and consult your doctor if you experience them. Your doctor may discontinue the medicines accordingly. Concurrent use may cause serotonin syndrome.
| -Alprazolam (Oral Route): Severe
If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms of Alprazolam side effects such as drowsiness, excessive sedation, tiredness, dizziness or slurred speech and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may adjust the dose of Alprazolam as per the observations. It is advised to avoid driving or undertaking other tasks requiring skill and alertness. Concurrent use may cause increased sleepliness, slow breathing, and even death.
