A Cort 0.5mg Tablet is a steroid. It is used in the treatment of inflammation, severe allergies, and flare-ups of ongoing illnesses. It is also used to treat many other medical problems that require either reduction of inflammation or suppression of the immune system. A Cort 0.5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food. It should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor will decide the dose and how often you should take them. You should take this medicine regularly to get the most benefit from it. Do not stop taking the medicine even if you feel better unless the doctor tells you so.Using the medicine may cause few common side effects such as a reduction in bone density and an upset stomach. Let your doctor know if any of these side effects bother you. If this medicine is used for a long time, you may have to get regular tests to check your bone density.Before using this medicine, inform your doctor if you are allergic to any medicine or have liver problems. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult with their doctors before using the medicine.

Do not stop taking it without your doctor?s advice. This can cause unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. Because this medicine weakens your immune system, you should avoid being near people who are ill or have infections.

It reduces inflammation by blocking the release of certain natural substances that cause allergic symptoms such as swelling, redness, and pain.| Is A Cort 0.5mg Tablet safe to use?::: A Cort 0.5mg Tablet is safe to use when used for an indication in a dose as advised by your doctor. You should not take this medicine if you are allergic to A Cort 0.5mg Tablet or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. Furthermore, you should not take A Cort 0.5mg Tablet if you have an infection and have not yet started medicine (e.g. antibiotics) to treat it.| Does A Cort 0.5mg Tablet cause hair loss?::: No, A Cort 0.5mg Tablet is not known to cause hair loss. In fact, it may cause an increase in body hair growth (especially in females) when used for a long-term duration. Talk to your doctor if you get excessive hair growth on your body while taking A Cort 0.5mg Tablet.| Does A Cort 0.5mg Tablet cause weight gain?::: Yes, A Cort 0.5mg Tablet may cause weight gain, especially when taken at high doses and used for a long time or repeated short courses. Please consult your doctor if you experience weight gain after taking A Cort 0.5mg Tablet.| Is A Cort 0.5mg Tablet over the counter medicine?::: No, A Cort 0.5mg Tablet is not an over-the-counter (OTC) medicine. It is available only when prescribed by a doctor.| Is A Cort 0.5mg Tablet a steroid?::: Yes, A Cort 0.5mg Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called steroids also known as corticosteroids. Corticosteroids occur naturally in the body and help to maintain health and well-being. A Cort 0.5mg Tablet increases the levels of corticosteroids in the body which helps in treating various illnesses involving inflammation (redness, tenderness, heat, and swelling). Many different conditions such as asthma, severe allergic reactions, rheumatoid arthritis, autoimmune diseases, etc can be improved by the use of A Cort 0.5mg Tablet, as they reduce inflammation in the body.| What if I forget to take a dose of A Cort 0.5mg Tablet?::: If you forget a dose of A Cort 0.5mg Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next scheduled dose at the prescribed time. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one as this may increase the chances of developing side effects.

-Herpes Zoster / Shingles Vaccine (Recombinant, Adjuvanted) (Injection Route): Life-threatening

It is recommended to wait at least 3 months after discontinuing a high dose of Betamethasone before taking Herpes Zoster / Shingles Vaccine (Recombinant, Adjuvanted). Concomitant use may cause lethal infections.

| -Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated) (Oral Route): Severe

It is recommended to wait at least 3 months after discontinuing a high dose of Betamethasone before taking Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated). Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated) may raise blood levels of Betamethasone and its active form.Concomitant use may cause infections.

| -Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine (Injection Route): Severe

It is recommended to wait at least 3 months after discontinuing a high dose of Betamethasone before taking Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine. Concomitant use may cause lethal infections.

| -Chloroquine (Oral Route): Moderate

Your doctor may monitor your potassium levels closely. Concurrent use may disturb the heart rhythm.

| -Loperamide (Oral Route): Moderate

Your doctor may monitor your potassium levels closely. Concurrent use may disturb the heart rhythm.
