A Pan 40mg Tablet is a medicine that reduces the amount of acid produced in your stomach. It is used for treating acid-related diseases of the stomach and intestine such as heartburn, acid reflux, and peptic ulcer disease. It provides relief from the symptoms and promotes healing. A Pan 40mg Tablet is also used to prevent stomach ulcers and acidity that may be seen with the prolonged use of painkillers. It belongs to a class of medicines known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). This medicine should be taken one hour before a meal, preferably in the morning. The dose will depend on your underlying condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep on taking it as prescribed even if your symptoms disappear quickly. You can increase the efficiency of the treatment by eating smaller meals more often and avoiding caffeinated drinks (like tea and coffee), and spicy or fatty foods.The most common side effects observed with this medicine include nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, flatulence, diarrhea, and stomach pain. These symptoms are generally mild but if they bother you or do not go away, consult your doctor. Long-term use of this medicine may lead to an increased risk of side effects. For instance, using this medicine for more than 1 year may increase your risk for bone fractures, especially with higher doses. A Pan 40mg Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called proton pump inhibitors. It reduces the amount of acid your stomach makes and relieves the pain associated with heartburn and acid reflux. You can increase the efficiency of the medicine by making certain lifestyle changes. These include avoiding foods that trigger the symptoms, eating smaller more frequent meals, losing weight if you are overweight.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. A Pan 40mg Tablet is to be taken on an empty stomach.

What is A Pan 40mg Tablet used for?::: A Pan 40mg Tablet is used for the treatment of peptic ulcer disease, reflux esophagitis or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). A Pan 40mg Tablet prevents acidity associated with use of painkillers. It works by reducing the amount of acid made by your stomach and thus relieves your symptoms.| How long does it take for A Pan 40mg Tablet to work?::: You should start to feel better within 2 to 3 days. It may take up to 4 weeks for A Pan 40mg Tablet to work properly so you may still have some symptoms during this time.| Is A Pan 40mg Tablet safe?::: Yes, A Pan 40mg Tablet is relatively safe. Most of the people who take A Pan 40mg Tablet do not get a side effect. It is advised to be taken as directed by the doctor for maximum benefits.| Can I take A Pan 40mg Tablet for a long term?::: A Pan 40mg Tablet is usually prescribed for short-term use only. However, if the need arises, such as for treating peptic ulcer disease, Zollinger-Ellison (ZE) syndrome, etc. A Pan 40mg Tablet may be prescribed for a long-term duration as well. Long-term use may carry an increased risk for side effects and must be discussed with the doctor. The most important of these is low magnesium levels in your blood which may make you feel tired, confused, dizzy, or shaky. You may also have muscle twitches or irregular heartbeat. If the use is further prolonged for more than a year, you may have an increased risk of bone fractures, stomach infections, and vitamin B12 deficiency. Vitamin B12 deficiency can make you anemic, as a result of which you may feel more tired, weak, or pale. Additionally, you may have palpitations, shortness of breath, lightheadedness, indigestion, loss of appetite, flatulence (gas), or nerve problems such as numbness, tingling, and problem in walking.| What is the best time to take A Pan 40mg Tablet?::: Usually, A Pan 40mg Tablet is taken once a day, first thing in the morning. If you take A Pan 40mg Tablet twice a day, take 1 dose in the morning and 1 dose in the evening. The tablets should be swallowed whole (remember not to be chewed or crushed) and taken at least 1 hour before a meal with some water.| Can I stop taking A Pan 40mg Tablet if I feel better?::: If you have been taking A Pan 40mg Tablet for a long time. Stopping it abruptly may lead to increased acid production, thereby worsening your symptoms. Therefore, you must discuss any dose changes or if you wish to come off A Pan 40mg Tablet.
