- Kidney : CAUTION - Alerid Syrup should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Alerid Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor. - Liver : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Alerid Syrup is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Alerid Syrup is recommended. However, dose adjustments are required in severe liver disease. Consult your doctor before giving Cetirizine to your child in case of severe liver disease.

Q. Is Alerid Syrup a steroid? What is it used for?::: Alerid Syrup is an anti-allergic medication, not a steroid. It relieves the symptoms of allergy. It is used to relieve runny nose, sneezing and redness, itching, and watering of the eyes caused by hay fever or seasonal allergies. It also relieves similar symptoms caused due to allergies to substances, such as dust mites, animal dander, and mold. It is also used to treat symptoms of hives, including itching and rash.| Q. My child is restless and unable to sleep properly at night. Can I give Alerid Syrup?::: No, although this medicine causes drowsiness as a side effect, it should not be given to induce sleep in children. Consult your child?s doctor if your child has trouble sleeping as it could be due to some other underlying condition.| Q. Can other medicines be given at the same time as Alerid Syrup?::: Alerid Syrup can sometimes interact with other medicines or substances.
