Ascoril LS Drops is a combination of three medicines: Ambroxol, Levosalbutamol, and Guaifenesin, which relieves cough with mucus. Ambroxol is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Levosalbutamol is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens the airways. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in its removal from the airways. Together, they make breathing easier.

- Kidney : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Ascoril LS Drops is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Ascoril LS Drops is recommended. However, prolonged use may impact kidney function in your child. Discuss with your child?s doctor thoroughly before giving the medicine. It is not recommended in children with severe kidney disease. - Liver : CAUTION - Ascoril LS Drops should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Ascoril LS Drops may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Discuss with your child?s doctor thoroughly in case your child has a history of allergy (hypersensitivity) or any liver problem before giving Ascoril LS Drops.

Q. Can I give Ascoril LS Drops to my child who is less than 6 years of age?::: Yes, Ascoril LS Drops is suitable to be given to the child who is between 2 to 6 years of age. Your child?s doctor may prescribe the dose depending upon your child?s body weight.| Q. What if my child takes too much Ascoril LS Drops?::: An overdose or a prolonged intake of Ascoril LS Drops may cause serious side effects like seizures, rapid heart rate, excess salivation. Make sure to give this medicine to your child strictly as per the prescribed dose, time, and way. You must also ensure not to stop the medicine abruptly even if your child starts to feel better. Sudden withdrawal of this medicine may worsen your child?s condition.| Q.
